Zohra is a core member of Lapis Afghanistan team, where she supports the development and implementation of successful strategic communications programs. She has deep experience on the ground across Afghanistan, where her projects have included hands-on participation in initiatives to spark greater female participation in the workforce, support youth empowerment, and drive systemic change from the grassroots level up.
With Lapis Afghanistan, she has contributed in delivering successful communications campaigns on civic education and women’s empowerment. She provided technical support to civil society organizations, NGOs, and government agencies to develop effective public policies with a focus on advocating for change and engaging youth and women. This included the design and delivery of training modules and capacity building workshop, ensuring sustainability of the programs. Her past experience includes development of projects for GIRoA agencies and international organizations including United States Agency for International Development, European Union and the United Nations. Zohra holds a diploma in Business Administration from Kardan University and a Bachelor’s in Political Science and Public Administration from The American University of Afghanistan. She speaks native Persian and Dari, and has full working and literary command of English.
