Frederick Herbert is a communications expert with over 3 years of experience that covers behaviour change communications, marketing and research.
Coming from a commercial marketing and innovation agency – Happen Ltd. - he brings with him significant expertise in delivering creative solutions for a diverse range of projects and clients. At Happen he spearheaded formative research into the behaviours of adolescents in the UK, as well as a number of communications campaigns ranging from developing a new marketing strategies to designing funding schemes for Cancer Research UK.
Since joining Lapis he has worked throughout the Middle East and Central Asia; including in the complex frontier markets of Afghanistan and Pakistan; where he is currently working. In this time he has developed a specialty in programs focusing on education and countering violent extremism.
Frederick attended Bristol University, where he graduated with first-class honours in Politics and Economics, specializing in gender studies, environmental economics, and the cultural effects of globalization. He also edited Bristol University’s leading arts magazine – Helicon.
He is currently learning Urdu and, having lived in China, is proficient in Mandarin.
