Fethi Kirdar is Moby Group’s Chief Financial Officer and Head of Business Development. Fethi brings over 15 years of experience in investment banking and private equity for Deutsche Bank, Barclays Capital, and other leading institutions, where he was responsible for providing financial advisory services as well as raising debt, equity and project financings for sovereign wealth funds, large corporates, and family offices. Most recently, Fethi co-founded Blue Gate Capital Partners, a frontier market private equity and financial advisory firm focusing on reconstruction and investment in Iraq and Libya.
Fethi has also had a significant focus on the telecom, media and technology (TMT) sectors through Estithmaar Ventures, a US$100 million TMT focused private equity fund, which he helped establish in 2002 as a joint venture between Deutsche Bank and The Investment Office, the private office of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, as well as through his role in advising European media companies while at Deutsche Bank’s European Media Investment Banking team in London.
Fethi speaks Arabic, Turkish, English, and French, and is dual British/Iraqi national. He holds a BSc in International Economics from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service.
